Kickstarter Campaign Completed ... What's Next?

Hello Throw Octopus! Backers,

The Throw Octopus! Kickstarter campaign officially ended yesterday (April 14) as an amazing success!  Thank you all for your incredible support. We're so excited to bring this super fun tile game to life. We achieved 250 backers and nearly $12.5K in pledges! Here's how we finished:

We had steady support throughout the campaign and had an average pledge of $49!

What's Next?

It usually takes Kickstarter about 7-12 days to process your pledge and complete your pledge payment. Once that step is completed, we will open our pledge manager. This should happen within this time range; April 22-29, 2022. We will push to open the pledge manager as soon as possible!

What is a Pledge Manager?

A pledge manager allows our Kickstarter backers to alter their pledges, choose additional items, personalize what they bought and type in and confirm their shipping address. This is done through an online survey process. Since we mentioned in our Kickstarter campaign that shipping fees would be added in the post campaign pledge manager, you will need to make payment for your shipping in order to receive the game.

The pledge manager will allow you to add more units, change your pledge, add one or multiple Throw Octopuses or Baby Throw Octopuses, and so on. You can fully customize to ensure you get exactly what you want! We also added the option to add our Shady Pets game, and Shady Pets NSFW at a discount.

We will be using Backerkit as our pledge manager for this campaign. Backerkit will be open starting April 24 (or sooner). We have started pre-production so please complete your surveys quickly so we can ensure we get your shipment delivered to you asap!

The invitation will be sent directly to the email address linked to your Kickstarter account. Be sure to check your spam folder in case it was captured there!

With a super thanks to you, we just reached our 100% funding goal. We're so excited to say that Throw Octopus! is going to be made and sent to you. You are going to love this game and have hours and hours of fun with it!  With 11 more days to go, we hope to reach our stretch goals and unleash more cool stuff for you!  As for now ... let's celebrate!

Funding Bonus: $3 Off Shipping 

As mentioned in our last update, to help us get over the top, we decided to move up our 1st stretch goal bonus and make it a funding bonus! For all backers of the game, we're reducing your shipping fees by $3!

What happens next?

The Kickstarter campaign will run through April 14.  At this time, Kickstarter will process your payments, then around April 21, we will open up our pledge Manager, Backerkit so you can complete shipping and modify your order, if desired, with add-ons, etc.

We received a few comments and questions so far and we'd like to share the answers.

1. You will be able to add any of the items as separate "add-ons" during the pledge manager phase which happens when the Kickstarter campaign ends. So if you want an extra game box, an extra octopus, or the NSFW expansion, you can add those at this time. We'll keep the pricing super affordable to make this even easier.
